At Calvary Lutheran Church Hillsboro, we believe God welcomes and loves every person. Our worship is rooted in the rich traditions of the Lutheran faith while offering a warm, welcoming, and relaxed atmosphere. Together, we gather around God’s Word and the Sacraments through Scripture, prayer, inspiring music, and a meaningful message. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday, and children are invited to participate through a children’s message designed to help our youngest members grow in faith.

Our Pastor
Before entering ordained ministry, Pastor Rachel Kramer served as the bookkeeper and office manager at Trinity Lutheran Church in Portland. During that time, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communication from Marylhurst University in 2016, developing gifts for leadership, communication, and ministry that continue to shape her pastoral work.
Following her ordination in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), Pastor Rachel accepted God’s call to serve as pastor of Calvary Lutheran Church Hillsboro, where she began her ministry on (insert start date).
Pastor Rachel brings warmth, joy, and genuine compassion to our congregation. Her welcoming spirit, infectious laugh, and heartfelt care for others help create an atmosphere where people feel comfortable, valued, and encouraged. She believes faith grows through authentic relationships, honest conversations, and sharing life’s joys and challenges together.
Pastor Rachel is passionate about helping the church live out Christ’s love beyond its walls. She enjoys building relationships within the congregation, working alongside ecumenical partners, and serving the wider community. Guided by the teachings of Jesus, she encourages others to put faith into action through compassion, hospitality, and service.

Calvary is part of the Oregon Synod and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). We are a friendly Christian community creating an impact for God here in Hillsboro, Oregon by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ.
